This is me smiling, I am happy today, I got a nice e-mail it is sad also, now I know all you Labs, Bassets, Beagles, Square dogs, well all posh dogs see your look a likes all the time, but not me.
To day a Lady called Claire sent an e-mail my smiley face is for her.

Dear Grumpy Bobby,
I wanted to write to you because I think you are such a special wee chap .
We lost our dog on Christmas eve and I have sent you pictures because he looks just like you and was also grumpy
His name is William and he was around 10 years old, he came from a dog shelter when he was thought to be about 2 and a half. He'd already been out to a home from the same shelter and they'd taken him back - he was there for 6 months because he jumped and jumped at the kennel bars whenever people walked past. Originally he was handed in as a puppy bless him !!

Yes William is the nearest I have seen to me, even the brown at the top of his tail and I was in Kennels to, I don't know much more, We know at some point I was beaten quite often and hard.
I don't know how old I am, but I guess about 10 so could William have been my real furbody brother, I would so like to think so, even though sadly he has gone over the bridge. I feel I did have family after all. The picture above is my look for sure, Yes I am sure William was my Brother. Thank you Claire.

Eric Hippy Pip is there look behind you, we think he is on wacky backy or something, go get your mum.

William must have been a very special dog too if he was like you Bobby-a very sad tale = and even though John calls you grumpy, you're always smiling when my mam gives you treats x

It's my guess that Hippy Pip has discovered the type of mushrooms you can't buy at asda x

Finding William for you was kinda like me finding Rambo. Rambo and I could be twins except my ears stick up and his bend. If you haven't met him, he is #1 on my doggone good blogs list. We think we're cousins even though he lives in California and I live in New York.

What a great story! It's nice to have met a doppleganger, and it must be nice for his family to remember him through you.

It is nice to see you looking happy! I'm glad you found your look-alike dog and that he had a good life with people who loved him.

That's neat Bobby you have a doppleganger!!!!!

We met a lady at a basset event who said she had a basset named Clea, who looked just like Droopy. Cleo had passed away a few months before. The lady had tears in her eyes while she talked about her Cleo.

Of course William is your brother! And you can always believe that and we can all run together when we all cross the bridge. We're sorry that he had to leave already, but what a wonderful thing that his moma wrote to tell you. We ALL have family. Even the wheelies and the wheeless ones have family. (We just found Winston's sibling ... we're quite sure of it!)

So. Keep smiling, Bobby. It is quite becoming. And please do what you can to keep Pip and Eric in line. We're a bit worried about those two together. Things might get a little far out, if you catch our drift. They may need a sensible soul like you to keep 'em grounded.

Lovin knowin ya,
Jake and Fergi (who could be quite the Flower Girl, ya know?)
