The couple who adopted Rex drove all the way up from Bracknall a distance of 300 miles to adopt Rex who they had only seen on the Pawz site John met Stuart & Heather at Seaburn Beach where they stayed in the Pullman Hotel overnight and the next day Stuart brought the bacon off his breakfast for Rex. John was on the beach with Rex. Heather and Stuart took Rex home with them a total of 600 miles to give this old boy a home even though they knew he had a heart murma truly Kind Hearts. This was Two and a half  years ago.

Rex died a few weeks ago Heather and Stuart are missing him very much, Heather said he was playing football the day before, the next day he had a heart attack.
I would like to say to Heather and Stuart thank you so much for giving Rex a wonderful two and a half years and so much love, Rex had quite a few holidays with Heather and Stuart and they always sent holiday pictures.
The life he had at the end was worth 20 of his previous so although sad for us and Heather and Stuart for Rex it was a happy ending. THANK YOU BOTH.

Thank goodness for people like Heather and Stuart our sympathies to them but what a lovely life Rex had with them I love to play football as well and it's nice to think he was still enjoying life right up to the end. licks and tail wags Susie

Oh, what a sad ending, but you can tell he was truly loved. I like the details about bringing the bacon from his plate.

So sad.

It sounds like Heather and Stuart are awesome. I hope they adopt another doggie and continue to share their love.

We are glad Rex found happiness, however brief.

So sorry to hear about Rex - Stuart and Heather will have an ache in their hearts for a long time to come but they must celebrate the happy years they gave Rex. In time they may be able to give a loving home to another needy dog - it won't bring back Rex of course but it will help to fill awful void they feel right now.

Awww. This made Moma get all leaky. We are so glad Rex got the wonderful last few years that he did, and we are SO appreciative that Heather and Stuart were there for him. We know they are hurting. But they must feel some real satisfaction knowing the difference they helped to make.

Now. Maybe it's not appropriate to ask this. But. What's the chance that someday they'll adopt Patch? We really want that doggie to have a good home.

Crossed paws. With total belief that Rex is running free and happy.
